She has had much less problems with it since jean styles ride lower than the belly button now. You are right about taking care of it. I didn't know that there was a belly button ring specially for wearing straight after the piercing. It makes sense, of course. I've got pierced ears and I know I wore very plain rings for awhile until my ears had completely healed. Excellent advise for anyone contemplating having their navel pierced.
