My viewpoint on tattoos and body piercing have really changed over the years! Growing up in a very strict family, my parents always considered tattoos a "bad thing!" We were told that only low lives or sailors had them, and that people looked down on those with tattoos.

Well things have changed!! I'm now 52 and my 22 yr. old son is a tattoo artist. I am planning on getting my first tattoo (a butterfly) shortly and plan on also getting a hummingbird after that.

I've even convinced my dad who is 78 to get his first tattoo.

And as far as body piercings go... My 17 yr. old daughter has a LOT of piercings. I admit I'm not crazy about it, I think she's gone too far... But it's her body and she likes it, at least for now. I'm sure in time, her attitude will change.
